Walking in their boots: Seeing Safety from the Frontline

Webinar
Presented by Sentis

The Australian Institute of Health & Safety invites you to join our upcoming webinar titled: Walking in their boots: Seeing Safety

from the Frontline being held on Thursday 13 June.

Results from our recent study confirms that there is a distinct disconnect between leaders and frontline workers. The data, collected from more than 59,000 survey participants, indicates that frontline workers have a more negative perception to that of their leaders. This is especially true when it comes to safety across the physical, psychological and social experiences.

In this webinar Dr Brett Solomon, Principal Consultant at Sentis will explore the differences in perception and learn what leaders can do to better understand how frontline workers experience the workplace to support safety, wellbeing and productivity.

Learning Outcomes

Webinar participants will learn:

  • The dangers of leadership being out of touch with how frontline employees experience the workplace.
  • Strategies for leaders to gain insights into the experiences of frontline workers, such as:
    • Creating an environment where psychological safety and trust are prioritised
    • Committing resources and time to understand the frontline perspective
    • Actively soliciting feedback and ideas from employees
    • Promoting teamwork and cooperative efforts
