Principles of Work Design

Work design is the way jobs and tasks are arranged and organised in the workplace. It shapes how work is planned, carried out, and improved—influencing everything from the tasks people complete to how they collaborate and share responsibility.

Good work design aims to create jobs that are safe, healthy, and satisfying by considering both the physical environment and the social aspects of work. Well-designed jobs improve well-being, boost performance, and reduce risk.

Developed based on the BoK Chapter 34.4 Work Design, this course aims to equip safety practitioners with the knowledge, frameworks and practical tools to analyse, implement, and improve work design, with the goal of creating safer, healthier, and more productive workplaces.

  • The learning path automatically adjusts to your existing level of knowledge, so you skip what you already know and focus on what you need
