Your Speaker

Conrad Wansbrough has a diverse and interesting background having traversed the world from one job to the next. He has worked on demolishing drill riggs in the North Sea, offshore platforms in the Caspian Sea, confined space entry in butane storage tanks in the Timor Sea, bolted cliff faces on the rock of Gibraltar, climbed chimney stacks in the Hunter valley and sailed to Antarctica as a deckhand. Over the years Conrad has come to intimately understand what creates safe workplaces and what just does not work at all. In this safety in the pub session Conrad will explore how changing the conversation at all levels of an organisation from the old school autocratic “command and control” to a more humble, servant style “curious and enabling” approach creates safer outcomes, better productivity, and a more engaged inventive workforce.
