Australia's New Respiratory Protection Standards: What You Need to Know

Webinar
Presented by CleanSpace

Event Overview:

The Australian Institute of Health & Safety invites you to our upcoming webinar, Australia's New Respiratory Protection Standards: What You Need to Know presented by CleanSpace on 7 July 2026.

Join us for an essential update on the transition to AS/NZS ISO Respiratory Protection Standards in Australia.

With AS/NZS 1715 and 1716 planned to be superseded in 2030, now is the time to understand what's changing, why it matters, and what you need to know to stay ahead. This webinar will cut through the complexity of the new AS/NZS ISO classification system — covering protection classes, work rates, and filtration — and give you a clear picture of where things stand today, what's coming, and what practical steps you can take right now.
Whether you're an occupational hygienist, health and safety professional, or involved in the selection and specification of respiratory protective equipment, this session will give you the confidence to navigate the transition period with clarity.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Explain why Australian respiratory protection standards are changing and what is driving the transition to AS/NZS ISO.
  • Describe the key features and benefits of the new AS/NZS ISO classification system.
  • Identify what will change for workplaces — and what doesn't need to change yet
  • Access the tools and resources available to support the transition.
