Committee Member
Sophie works in the not-for-profit community services sector as a Risk and Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor. She brings a strong passion for advocating for vulnerable people and a commitment to inclusive, person-centred service delivery.
As an emerging WHS practitioner, Sophie leads with curiosity and empathy, applying a contemporary, human-centred approach to safety which is informed by holistic enterprise risk thinking. Her focus includes psychological wellbeing, inclusive strategies, and practical solutions. This work is grounded in a commitment to fostering safe, healthy, and respectful environments that support both individual wellbeing and organisational performance, particularly within diverse and under-resourced settings.
In 2025, Sophie joined the AIHS South Australia Branch Committee to represent emerging professionals and contribute to a more connected and inclusive safety community. She is a Certified Practicing Risk Associate (CPRA) and also serves as Chapter Executive for the RMIA SA/NT Chapter, supporting the advancement of risk and safety disciplines across sectors.
She hopes to contribute to the South Australian community through the committee by encouraging youth engagement in the WHS profession, expanding access to professional development, and helping to strengthen the connection between policy and practice to build a safer, more inclusive future for all workers.
